Air pollution is increasing in the capital Delhi and areas adjacent to Delhi. Even before the onset of winter, the air has started getting poisoned. In view of the situation of air pollution, Dr. PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to PM Modi, has held a meeting of a high level task force in which the principal secretaries of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi governments were also present.
Principal Secretary gave these instructions to the states
Dr PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, has stressed the need to shift towards clean fuels and EVs and develop EV charging facilities at the high level meeting on air quality in NCR. States have been asked to control stubble burning. He also said that the state should manage biomass and emphasize on cultivation of alternative crop varieties to improve air quality.
Even in Faridabad, the industrial city adjacent to Delhi, the deteriorating environmental level of Delhi has started affecting the health of the people. Due to pollution, asthma and allergy patients have started facing problems. Currently, in the first phase of vaccination in the district, five to seven new asthma patients are being identified every day, while allergy patients are troubled by cough and sneezing.
Patients are increasing in hospitals in Faridabad
In Faridabad, 60 to 70 patients including citizens are reaching the private hospitals of the district with the problem of allergy. According to doctors, the number of these patients may increase in the coming days. Special attention is required for prevention.
It is noteworthy that recently the air quality index in the industrial city had crossed 225. Now some spraying is being done by the Municipal Corporation, so on Thursday the PM 2.5 level was recorded at 198, down from 200, which is a sign of some relief.
Apart from this, the weather is sometimes being cold and sometimes hot. Due to frequent changes, the weather has become humid in the morning and evening. Due to this moisture, fine particles of pollution are not able to go up and remain present in our environment.
Fine particles enter the body with breath and get deposited in the chest and respiratory tract. Due to this the patient has difficulty in breathing. Due to this, the patient is having asthma attacks two to three times a day. Apart from this, the number of patients suffering from cold, chest noise and bronchitis has also started increasing.
