Oswego County Federal Credit Union has announced it will raise funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the Battle 4 Breath Challenge along with several other Central NY companies.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation seeks to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a progressive genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits breathing over time, and to fund research and drug development to provide all people with Cystic Fibrosis the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.
To reach its goal of raising $500, the credit union will share the fundraiser with its members via social media and will have donation jars available in its branches. To encourage staff-made donations, Oswego County Federal Credit Union will offer any staff members who donate twenty dollars the ability to wear jeans for an entire week in May and it will match the entire amount donated by the internal team.
Oswego County Federal Credit Union CEO Bill Carhart shared, “We are truly honored to be a part of this fundraising initiative to help extend the lives of those afflicted with this terrible disease. The ability to breathe should not be taken for granted.” Carhart added, “Thank you to our members, team, and community for their participation and for making this initiative a success.”
Every dollar raised will advance the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission of finding a cure for the disease. To contribute to the fundraiser, please visit: events.cff.org/battle-4-breath/Oswego-Federal-CU
