Hyderabad , India: Another virus is spreading rapidly in the country. The number of swine flu cases is increasing in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Due to this, doctors say that the number of swine flu cases in Hyderabad, which is a neighbor of the respective states, is limited to a very small number. But many people with swine flu have normal symptoms but end up with serious respiratory problems. Such people are being tested for the diagnosis of the virus.
Those who need it are being tested for Covid-19. At present, we have not identified what this virus is, but we have found that the person infected with this virus is suffering from respiratory problems. Swine Flu, Covid-19, Influenza A, Influenza B are being tested at Gandhi Hospital, Fever Hospital, Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) for those infected with the virus.
Doctors say that the virus has been detected in some people for the last two to three months and many people have been found to be suffering from severe respiratory problems. They have been tested for Corona Virus, Swine Flu and Influenza. Usually, people with influenza have trouble breathing.
Doctors at Gandhi Hospital say that normally when oxygen levels are low, they test positive for swine flu and Covid-19, but this is not the case now. It is believed to be a new type of respiratory virus. Experts of the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) are also expressing the same opinion. The virus is not dangerous. The recovery rate in all these cases has been 100% so far, with a symptomatic person recovering within five days of treatment, he said.
Moreover, temperature fluctuations create unfavorable conditions for the survival of viruses. Some of these cases are similar to swine flu and Covid-19 symptoms and the situation is not alarming, he said. According to experts, there are more than 200 respiratory viruses that affect humans. Common among them are influenza viruses, rhinovirus, enterovirus, SARS, MERS, corona viruses, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza virus. These are in mild form. These do not require any tests. It will subside within five to seven days.
Don’t do the tests?
Although it is known that some cases of swine flu are still being reported in government and private hospitals, the state health authorities are reacting differently to them. According to official figures, so far this year there have been less than 50 swine cases. Last year there were 256 cases of swine flu. “We see cases of swine flu from time to time, but not everyone is being tested,” said a health official. He said many people with symptoms take paracetamol tablets and recover within three days, so they don’t even come for tests. He added that overall confirmed cases are very few.
