Simple Shifts and Reframes Help Parents Raise Kids with Joy and Calm
September 8, 2022 – Parenting is considered one of the most difficult jobs of all and one that doesn’t come with an owner’s manual. Parenting coach and Pediatric speech/language pathologist Albiona Rakipi offers perplexed parents a lifeline with her one-on-one and group coaching programs. Her signature program for parents, The Empowered Parenting Program begins on September 14th.
Even during the calmest of times, parenting can be incredibly stressful. But parenting through a pandemic, fraught with homeschooling, daycare closures, economic instability, and social isolation, has ratcheted up the stress levels to a point where 66% of American working parents meet the criteria for parental burnout according to a recent study by Ohio State University. Seeing the need for knowledgeable assistance to navigate these challenging times, Rakipi created a group coaching program to help parents reframe the way they interpret their daily challenges and end overwhelm, so they can feel equipped to raise joyful, healthy humans.
“Albiona was so insightful in helping me work on a parenting problem I had been challenged by for over a year,” says Michelle B. “By helping my son understand that I was on his team, we have seen him diligently work through his homework and complete it on his own, without intervention for the first time in almost a year.”
“I have a one-and-a-half-year-old and, as the tremendous twos are approaching, I needed help with how to prepare with that,” notes mother of two, Jessica Garvey. “I felt myself becoming the ‘bad parent’ with a short fuse and that is something that I did not want. Albiona’s P.A.R.R method (Pause, Acknowledge, Respond, Reflect) has helped, as well as just some self-care and reflection, through meditation and breathing. She also reassured me that I am not alone in these thoughts and feelings that I am having, so that has done wonders for my mindset!”
The Empowered Parenting Program begins September 14th, featuring an intimate online group that will meet once a week for support and guidance. Participants will gain specific tools to address their parenting dilemmas to help them feel empowered and confident in making the best decisions.
