Registration is still open to take an online mind-body class designed to help quiet the mind by bringing attention to the breath.

Led by a certified American Council on Exercise instructor, the class will teach deep, diaphragmatic breathing, which has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, decrease stress hormones, exercise the lungs, increase physical and mental energy, and improve immunity.

This breathing technique is one of the body’s strongest self-healing tools, and the class will teach how to practice utilizing this tool.

The free class will be Thursday, Aug. 18 at 4 p.m.
