Bachelor Nation star and famous twin Emily Ferguson Karlsson married professional hockey player William Karlsson last July in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And in November, the two announced that they are expecting their first child together!
As Emily prepares to welcome her baby boy in May 2023, she took to Instagram to answer fan questions about her pregnancy.
Emily got candid with fans about some of her pregnancy fears and opened up about her anxiety with her hundreds of thousands of followers.
One fan asked Emily if she’s nervous about giving birth and she was extremely honest with her answer.
The mom-to-be said, “As of now it’s my biggest fear. I’m working with a doula online. I’m starting meditations and doing daily affirmations. Exercising to strengthen my pelvic floor for when it’s time to push. Going to see a chiropractor to help me with back pain etc. I mean I’m just gonna do everything I can to keep my body and mind healthy and ready.”
And speaking of back pain, Emily also answered a fan who asked how her scoliosis has been during pregnancy.
Emily opened up, saying, “This is a great question. One of my biggest fears about pregnancy was the possibility of my scoliosis getting worse. I went to my Dr. A few years ago with this concern. And I was told it’s completely safe and my spine is stable. I’m surprised at how great my upper back/scoliosis has felt throughout pregnancy so far. I know weight lifting is helping keep my muscles strong around my spine. So if you have scoliosis my biggest recommendation is weight lifting.”
She went on, adding, “Now... I do have issues with breathing because my spine pushes on my lungs. And now that my organs are getting more and more squished as I grow I’m getting worried about how it will affect my breathing down the road. I'll keep you updated on this so far I still feel amazing. I’m out of breath often but I think all pregnant women are. I truly do fear being more out of breath as baby boy grows but I’m hopeful and know the human body is miraculous. I’m sure all will be perfect.”
We are continuing to send Emily all our love as she goes through her pregnancy journey.
We know that her sharing her experience and anxieties will help so many other expectant mamas.
