Mysuru: This is my last electoral election but I will be active in politics to serve people till my last breath, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was addressing a gathering at a thanksgiving programme organised for the people of Varuna Assembly constituency – from where he won in the Assembly elections – on Saturday. Voters of his constituency were treated to a holige feast.

“I did what I had promised when I was the chief minister in 2013. I had ensured a welfare programme for all the community. This time too, the government will provide an effective programme to the people,” said CM Siddaramaiah.

The people have given a historic verdict by overthrowing the BJP government that was mired in corruption and hate politics. “I am grateful to the people of this land,” he added.

He further said that the seat of chief minister is an opportunity to serve the people and not the seat of comfort.
