Calling all new parents and babies! Battersea Power Station will be hosting two new classes inside the Power of Place Exhibition space. Whether you are a new mum looking to move your body or a parent looking for a fun sensory class for you and your baby, we have something here for you.
Post-natal Fit – For the Mums
Hosted by Jelly Belly PT, this class is all about reconnecting with your body after having a baby. Through movements you will work from the inside out, activating your core and pelvic floor to restore function and strength using breathing, movement and resistance.
You will address posture, function and strength through specifically selected exercises, so the intensity is dependent on where you are at in your recovery. The classes include a mix of exercises including standing and mat work. All functional exercises are covered to ensure you prepare and strengthen your body ready for the daily activities with a baby, allowing you to move more freely and become more active.
Babies are welcome along too! The room is set up so you can have your little one beside you.

Baby Sensory Classes – For Parents and Babies
Baby Sensory is a multi-award winning class specifically designed for babies from birth to 13 months.
The classes will provide ideas for creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents and music in simple practical ways that can be easily repeated at home. They also use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early speech and language skills, and sensory signing activities to help you and your baby communicate from birth.
Every week will be a different theme with amazing props and activities to delight your little ones and grown-ups too. Sonia is the class leader who runs Baby Sensory classes locally and she can’t wait to meet all the babies at Battersea Power Station.
