Jo Mersa Marley Cause of Death
Jo’Mersa Marley, son of Stephen Marley and grandson of Bob Marley, died unexpectedly of an asthma attack, as has been confirmed. According to the Mayo Clinic, an asthma attack causes one’s airways to become enlarged and irritated, which causes the person suffering the attack to struggle to breathe, cough, or wheeze. According to Healthline, an asthma attack may be deadly because the sufferer’s airways narrow and they cease breathing.
Asthma was the 13th leading cause of death in the United States in 2020, according to reports. Health Match acknowledged that these attacks are very uncommon, but stressed the need of being prepared in the event that one occurs.
Marley did not die from the same ailments as his grandson. Instead, the musician passed away at the young age of 36 from cancer. Under his toenail, he developed a malignant melanoma in 1977. He was urged by doctors to have his toe amputated, but he declined, citing his faith as his reason. Although he was unwell, he kept on performing until cancer had spread to his brain, lungs, and kiver.
