Dr Ajay Kumar, a senior physician from Delhi, says that change in weather is taking place and people are contracting flu. The patients of asthma are already facing problems due to this. Their problem can aggravate if they are not careful enough. They may experience allergy and constant sneezing due to Holi colours. In such a situation, they are advised not to venture outside on the day of Holi. If it is really necessary, they should make it a point to cover their nose and face with mask. Besides, they should avoid using chemical-based colours and going to places with dust.

Dr Ajay says that the asthma patients are likely to experience asthma attack due to the effect of the flu. As a precautionary measure, they should always carry along the necessary medicines and inhaler. Besides, it is also important not to go to crowded places where they can contract infection. If one contracts infection along with the flu, their lungs can get damaged.
