Indore: A 70-year-old female resident of Guna, who was admitted to a private hospital for cardiac and renal complications, died after after she was detected Covid-19 positive.
This was the second death of a pandemic virus infected patient in the last seven days in hospitals in the district.
The woman was on a ventilator for about 15 weeks after a heart attack and was tested positive for Covid-19.
Dr Riyaz Siddiqui, Mayur Hospital said, “A 70-year-old female died on Sunday within two days of shifting from another hospital after testing Covid-19 positive.” The woman has issues in breathing and other complications, said Dr Siddiqui.
The woman was shifted from another private hospital after testing positive on Friday. Treating consultant Dr Ravi Dosi told, “The woman has been on dialysis because of renal issues. She was on a ventilator for around two weeks back in Shalby hospital after a heart attack and she tested Covid-19 positive there.”
In the district, till now over 2 lakh positive Covid-19 cases were reported along with 1462 deaths of positive persons. TNN
