To All Fifth Quarter Summer Learning Families,
If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19 during this summer learning, please contact our school nurse Ms. Samantha Lantz at [email protected] or 708-434-3232. Please stay home from school, get tested, and remain home until you receive test results. Symptoms include cough, fatigue, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, headache, new loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle or body aches, nausea or vomiting, chills, or fever. Masks are optional but encouraged for anyone who wishes to wear one. As always, the best protection from severe infection and hospitalization due to COVID-19 is to be fully vaccinated and boosted.
You can click HERE for COVID-19 guidance for isolation and quarantine from the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Health.
Because our Fifth Quarter Summer Learning is at an accelerated pace (6 weeks), missing any class instruction would make it extremely challenging for any student to make up instruction as remote learning is not an option this summer.
The health and safety of all our students and staff will always be at the forefront of our decision making. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out and I will do my best to respond.
Kind regards,
Jason Lee, Director of Fifth Quarter Summer Learning
