By the end of this month, it is said that the impact will decrease. In this case, 59 people have been confirmed to have H3N2 virus fever in Odisha.

State Health and Family Welfare Secretary Shalini Pandit said:

District Collectors have been directed to intensify surveillance for symptoms of influenza fever and severe respiratory tract infections.

For most people, the flu does not cause much harm.

People with co-morbidities and the elderly are more likely to experience difficulty breathing. 90 percent of them get better on their own. Only 10 percent develop shortness of breath and a persistent cough that requires treatment.

Precautions such as washing hands and keeping clean, avoiding going to crowded places should be followed. All state government testing labs are ready. Surveillance has been intensified.
