CHENNAI: Deaths of two people were notified on Friday when fresh cases in Tamil Nadu dropped further to 343 compared 382 on Thursday and 421 on Wednesday.
The active cases also fell to 3,126 compared 3,312 nearly 24 hours ago after the state discharged 527 patients from the registry.
A 58-year-old woman from Vellore with diabetes and hypertension was admitted to a private hospital in Vellore on April 25 with complaints of difficulty in breathing for three days tested positive for Covid-19 the next day. She died on Thursday. In Salem, a 58 year-old man with diabetes, hypertension and cardiac disease admitted to Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital on April 19. He died of septic shock and covid pneumonia.
