Today show star Dylan Dreyer may keep folks up-to-date on the news and the weather. But that doesn't mean she misses monumental family moments.
The longtime NBC co-host, 41, recently took to Instagram to share a big milestone for Rusty, 1, the youngest of her three kids with husband Brian Fichera, 36. (The couple also share sons Calvin, 6 and Oliver, 3.) In the clip, fans can hear Dylan cheering Rusty on as he walks across the living room. Thrilled by her son's accomplishment, she congratulates Rusty as soon as he reaches her.
"Yay Rusty!!!" she captioned the video on December 28. "Maybe this is why you haven’t been sleeping at night … you’re too excited to learn how to walk!!"
Just like Dylan, Today fans couldn't get over the sweet moment. Sharing in the broadcast journalist's joy, many folks immediately headed over to the meteorologist's comments section with heartwarming and supportive words.
"No stopping him now!!! He will be running through all the rooms," one person wrote on Instagram. "Your laugh is everything! Tells all we need to know Momma," another follower wrote. "Look at Rusty go. Watch out big brothers. ❤️," a different user added.
Dylan's happy news comes just two months after she experienced a health scare when both Rusty and Oliver got sick with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in November.
"It’s just scary because there’s nothing you can do," she said on Today. "Oliver would cough so hard, it took his breath away … Rusty was breathing really fast and just had this whistle to his breathing."
Thankfully, everyone is now healthy and happy. What's more, with Rusty on the move, we can't wait to see what else he gets up to.
