Raipur: In view of the upcoming board examinations, the district administration has issued an order imposing restrictions on the use of loudspeakers. Raipur district collector Gaurav Singh has formed five teams to ensure that students appearing for the class 10 and 12 examinations are not disturbed due to loud music in their surroundings.
The examinations are set to commence from March 1 across the state.
The collector has constituted five teams comprising officers from administration, police and municipal corporation to enforce the law and ensure the controlled use of loudspeakers.
The team members will patrol the roads and streets of different wards to check whether loudspeakers, DJs, or any kind of noise is causing disturbance and immediate action will be taken where violations are observed.
According to the order issued by the collector, the use of loudspeakers without written permission has been banned in Raipur limits until further notice. As a result, loudspeakers cannot be used. The collector has issued this order at the start of the examination season to ensure that students, elderly people, persons with disability, and ailing patients are not disturbed.TNN
