Evergreen actor Anil Kapoor has been a mainstay of Bollywood since the ‘70s. Over the years, he’s successfully established himself as one of the most celebrated and versatile actors to have graced the silver screen. From Ram Lakhan to Race, Kapoor’s career has outlasted that of his children, and he’s showing no signs of stopping!

Recently, the Mr. India star uploaded a video on Instagram wherein he can be seen pacing on a treadmill, wearing what seems to be an oxygen mask. The post was captioned “#Fighter Mode On!!”.

The response from the people on social media has been mixed, with some, including Bollywood celebrities, praising him for his efforts, while others simply scratched their heads unable to grasp the contraptions enveloping the 66-year-old actor.

Here are some of the comments that praised the efforts of the actor:“People don't see your hard work they will just say anil sir you are so young”

“Way to go Mr Kapoor ????”

“Woow sir”

“Sir , we are waiting for superhero Mr. INDIA.... Fighter toh bahut सारे है, MR. INDIA , one and only hain....”

“Man on a mission????????”

“His internal body stats must be better than his son ... trust me !”

“Video me ek shaks 45 saal se Bina thake mehnat karta hua... And comments section mein sirf 45 din se baap paiso se phone leke insta pe faltu comments karte hue Aaj ke naujawan! Difference of 2 India's ????❤️”

“People don't see your hard work they will just say anil sir you are so young”

“Salute ???? dedication determination…. Physic at this age “

Several celebs, ranging from Jackie Shroff, Rohit Saraf and Kartik Aaryan to Bhumi Pednekar, Neetu Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty and Padmini Kolhapure hyped up the AK vs AK star through a barrage of positive emojis.

Others, took the opportunity to troll him for his seemingly ‘extra’ efforts.

“Jab oxygen ki jarurat pad rahi hai to bhag kyon rhe ho”

“Yeh age mea thick nahi fitness ke chakkar mea nuksan ho raha logo ka”

“Chochala dekh lo bade logo ki????”

“kyu lagaya hai ye”

“There’s nothing woah in this? It’s literally a 60+ guy being literally held by ropes and given an oxygen mask whilst he runs, for support, because he cannot run anymore. Period.”

“I think it's called a sanki mode, wen u run being sick ????????”

What Is Anil Kapoor Up To In The Video?

While there’s no official confirmation, Anil Kapoor seems to be undertaking some form of low-oxygen training. This is what Hypoxico.eu has to say regarding it. “Altitude training, also known as hypoxic training or low oxygen training, involves exercising in, living in or otherwise breathing oxygen reduced air. This is done to improve athletic performance and physical wellness. Training under a state of hypoxia can also help people acclimatize to altitude.”

So, no, he doesn’t need the mask to help him breathe, rather it looks like the contraption is supposed to reduce the oxygen supply which in turn is supposed to improve his fitness levels.
