COROS has started off 2024 with the announcement of its next feature update, scheduled to be released to the iOS and Google Play store in early February.
This latest update includes new and advanced features such as the Running Form test to give deeper data insights to runners and better health monitoring with the introduction of Daily Stress measurement and Wellness Checks.
Running Form Test
Using the COROS POD or POD 2, runners can learn in-depth details about their Running Form.
A release from COROS added… ‘See whether you are a ground or aerial runner, assess your foot strike angle, and understand your running mechanics’ strengths and areas for improvement.’
Daily Stress
Using real-time heart rate and heart rate variability as primary data inputs, wearing a watch during the day will provide COROS users with real-time stress analysis. While training sessions may be the most physical stress experienced during the day, COROS notes that meetings, relationships, or even sitting in traffic can impact overall stress levels.
By measuring Daily Stress, COROS users can get a fuller picture to make informed decisions on when to train, when to rest, and more.
Wellness Check
Wellness Check is a one-step test to measure multiple health-related indicators, including resting heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, and more. COROS users can activate the Wellness Check feature every morning to see how these data points change over time, or use it on-demand when further health insights are needed.
