Hello all. I feel like I noticed something interesting. Many years ago, I took venlafaxine, but what a grave mistake it was. For those who don’t know, it is an SNRI. When I was on it, it made me acutely suicidal, made me think self injury was a good idea, and actually made me hypomanic.

Three weeks ago, I started bupropion. It also affects the norepinephrine receptors. Granted, it is a DNRI. But I’m noticing a very positive affect. Like I feel a lot perkier and less anxious. So why does this med have such a positive effect on me with it norepinephrine receptors, but the venlafaxine turned me into a total mess?
