During an emergency that began at a weight loss clinic, she was placed on a ventilator and placed in a coma.
Tammy, 37, admitted the scare, said last year, caused her to change her outlook on life and she has now lost her incredible 31 years.
The drastic weight loss meant she was finally able to walk without assistance.
Fans were first introduced to Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton-Halterman when 1000-Lb Sisters premiered on TLC in January 2020.

Three months after surgery, she was taken off round-the-clock oxygen support.
But Tammy wasn’t just struggling with breathing and walking without assistance – her weight had a huge impact on her personal hygiene.
Viewers were shocked when Tammy admitted on the show that she rarely brushes her teeth as she visited the dentist for the first time in a decade.

Viewers were horrified by this admission, but Tammy was unrepentant.
She responded to the trolls from her Tik Tok and said: “With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop commenting crap like this.
“It doesn’t help my confidence.
“I’m trying to improve my confidence and find comments about my chin or teeth don’t help at all.”
Despite battling these problems, she is now positive that her weight loss has given her a new lease of life and she is interested in a new modeling career.
Tammy got dressed and posed for the cameras at her Kentucky home, as a source says Tammy is eyeing modeling and growing her fame beyond the reality show.
Tammy vowed not to let her body “defeat her” after her near-death experience.
She told People magazine: “My near-death experience taught me not to take life for granted…
“Now I live my life the way I want, not the way others want me to…
“I told you guys this is not the end of me, the new and improved Tammy is coming soon.”
