4-Part Breathwork Series w/Yin Yoga
Each class each month would be a 2-hour workshop that would include a lecture, breathwork, and yin practice.
Module 1: Breath Testing – Full Body Yin
Students will be introduced to the science of yoga breathing and taught different ways to monitor and test their breath throughout the day. They will be taught why it’s important to monitor their breathing patterns and how it relates to their nervous system and well-being. They will then be led through a full body yin class that outlines the benefits and principals of a yin style practice.
Module 2: Coffee, Whiskey, Water Breathing – Full Body Yin
Students will be introduced to the three different categories of breathing we use in our breath work practice. They will learn when the appropriate times are to use these practices and how it relates to their nervous system. They will then be led through a full body yin class that outlines the benefits and principals of a yin style practice.
Module 3: Science of Breathing – Full Body Yin
Students will learn basic anatomy of the science of breathing. They will be introduced to oxygens and carbon dioxides role in breathing and the importance of nose breathing. They will then be led through a full body yin class that outlines the benefits and principals of a yin style practice.
Module 4: The Nervous System and Breathing – Full Body Yin Students will learn about the two branches of the nervous system and their roles, heart rate variability and the correlation between breathing and the vagus nerve. They will then be led through a full body yin class that outlines the benefits and principals of a yin style practice.
