Paris Saint-Germain are breathing a sigh of relief because, provided nothing goes wrong in training before the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi will be available against Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
The two stars took to the training pitch at Camp des Loges to prepare with the squad for a crucial tie.
The Frenchman, was injured on February 1 against Montpellier and was ruled out after PSG declared that a muscle injury in the left thigh would keep him out for three weeks. But, he has recovered quicker than expected.
Mbappe has been working away in afternoon solo sessions to get ready for the game of the season for the Parisians and, if there are no problems, he will be ready to suit up 13 days after getting injured as he is a player who recovers quickly.
He knows it's a key moment and has worked hard to play. On Sunday, he rejoined the group for part of the training session.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann had said as soon as the extent of the injury became known that he did not believe it and was confident that Mbappe would be present for the Champions League clash.
"I do not think he will be out, I think we do not know exactly how his injury is," the Bayern coach said.
"What the medical report says is not very clear, they are vague.
"They could be playing poker and not state the exact injury, but they could also be playing poker and say he's out but he's not out.
"We're going to prepare in the best possible way, as if he's going to play normally."
Messi and Verratti are also back in time
The other player who will be ready to welcome Bayern is Messi. The Argentine had an overload in his hamstring after the cup clash against Marseille and was rested against Monaco at the weekend.
But, he also prepared for the first leg and will be at the Parc des Princes, as will Marco Verratti.
Despite that, Nordi Mukiele and Renato Sanches will be absent.
