Xiaomi today had its big summer hardware event, where we have met the new beasts of the Chinese manufacturer. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, the new Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet, in addition to the Redmi K60 Ultra that could reach western territories as a LITTLE stand out.
However, these devices have not been the only ones that have had their moment of glory in the annual event, and that is that we have met the new premium version of the Xiaomi Band 8which embraces the last name ‘Pro’ to maximize its benefits.

A Band 8 with vitamins
Xiaomi’s new quantifying bracelet gives a step forward in terms of design. Now, it wants to go in accordance with any ‘outfit’ that we wear thanks to the metal and leather straps that have been shown. On the other hand, the front looks less curved than on last year’s Band 7 Pro.
In addition to the best aesthetic section, we have known the new anchor system which should offer greater robustness compared to the previous premium version. In the event that we need it to monitor our sports sessions, it can be replaced by a more conventional one.
The new Xiaomi Band 8 Pro also boasts a slightly larger AMOLED display, reaching 1.74 inches, which leaves us with a density of 336 dpi. In addition, its maximum brightness level will not be a problem to view it under intense light sources, since it reaches 600 nits.
For optimal health monitoring, this new Xiaomi wearable has the usual sensors: heart rate, blood oxygen, breathing recording during sleep, in addition to the traditional gyroscope and accelerometer. We cannot forget that this version has GPSso it will not depend on the smartphone to locate us on the map.
The resistance remains unchanged with respect to previous generations, since it admits a 5 ATM immersion (10 minutes underwater at 50 meters depth). The rest of the specifications do the job: NFC, many sports modes, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 289 mAh battery.
Versions and prices of the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro
Xiaomi has made the launch of this new wearable official in its native country, China, no information on sale in western territories. Of course, there it will be put up for sale in two versions, remaining as follows:
- Xiaomi Band 8 Pro (metal strap): 399 yuan, about 50 euros to change.
- Xiaomi Band 8 Pro (leather strap): 449 yuan, about 57 euros to change.
