Frontline essential workers must be in-person at their place of work and work in one of the following eight essential sectors: critical manufacturing, education, essential goods, food and agriculture, government and community services, healthcare and public health, public safety, and transportation.

UNC Health’s vaccination clinics accept walk-in appointments, as we encourage more North Carolinians to get their shot. That includes our largest vaccine clinic at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, which will accept walk-ins from Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM based on availability. Making an appointment online or on the phone is still the best way to get a shot, but anyone 18 years old and older can now walk in to a UNC Health vaccine clinic to get vaccinated.
