Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool have three new suspected positive COVID-19 tests in the squad and more cases among the staff ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to Chelsea.

However, Klopp is still expecting the game at Stamford Bridge to go ahead unless the situation worsens further.

“Three new cases in the team and a few more in the staff so it’s not so cool in the moment,” says Klopp.

“I’m not (able to name names) because we still have to make the whole process, getting a proper PCR and all these kind of things, but you will see the day after tomorrow on the teamsheet. It will be pretty clear then who is affected or infected.

“We never had the kind of proper outbreak where 10 or 15 players had it. For us it’s more every day another one. With staff it happens now more and more often. It feels like a lottery in the morning when you stand there and you wait for the result.”

Asked whether the Chelsea game could be in doubt, he added: “Probably not in this moment but we don’t know how it will look in a few hours.”
