The Weld Legacy Foundation, formerly the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation, and Banner Health will host the 25th annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Day Race at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24 with a 5K Turkey Trot and 2K Gobbler Trek Fun Run/Walk course.

Runners and walkers of all skill levels and ages are invited. The event raises money to support cardiac and pulmonary programs at Banner’s CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado. Money from the event will help provide grants to patients of the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs who would otherwise not be able to afford the programs.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to participate alongside their owners.

Early registration for the event is open through Friday, Nov. 18. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for ages 17 and younger. After Nov. 18, race fees increase to $30 for adults and $20 for kids 17 and younger.
