Monroe County on Saturday reported 218 new cases of COVID-19. There were 14 new deaths. Those deaths occurred on 1/15/21 and 3/30/21-5/2/21.

The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 205 new cases per day.

The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for Monroe County is 2.8%.

For the Finger Lakes region overall, the 7-day average of positive test results is 2.67%. That was the highest in the state. Western NY (the Buffalo area) was 2nd highest at 2.54%.

221 individuals are hospitalized in the Finger Lakes region. 49 are in ICU.

In terms of vaccinations, statewide, 48% of all New Yorkers have had at least one vaccine dose. The percentage who have had the completed series is 38.2%.

Monroe County health officials say that 51.5% of the population have had at least one vaccine dose.

All New York state mass vaccination sites are now open to eligible New Yorkers for walk-in vaccination on a first come first serve basis.
