At Texas MedClinic, your health and well-being are our top priority.
All 19 of our clinic locations ARE PREPARED and ARE READY to take care of you. Our hours have NOT changed with all clinics (except for our 24 hour locations) open from 8AM to 11PM, every day.
We have implemented procedures to keep all our patients and staff safe while at the same time continuing to provide on-demand urgent care services AND services that are important to our employer clients.
With the emergence of the coronavirus or COVID-19 and its many unknowns, we want you to know that your Texas MedClinic team have been prepared for over ten years to serve our community during a pandemic. Our providers are trained to serve in a medical crisis and stand ready to provide the very best medical care and guidance.
Texas MedClinic is working closely with our laboratory partners in processing the COVID-19 test.
Once a patient is tested for COVID-19 at a Texas MedClinic, the specimen is sent to a local, private lab for testing. (Texas MedClinic uses a different commercial lab than San Antonio Metropolitan Health Department.)
Our lab has informed us that results may take one to two calendar days. Once the results are received, the lab report will be reviewed by one of our providers and you will be notified by phone.
“If you have COVID-19 symptoms and are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, you must assume you have the illness. Please follow doctors’ recommendations to isolate from others as to not spread the virus,” said Texas MedClinic Chief Operating Officer and practicing physician Dr. David Gude. “If your symptoms worsen, and you experience difficulty breathing, please seek medical attention at the hospital.”
Those seeking a COVID-19 test must undergo a medical exam; the test and exam have a fee that most insurance plans cover.
Join us in our vigilance to stop the spread of the virus by maintaining healthy habits and following the authority’s guidelines on handwashing, disinfecting and social distancing. Be well!
