The Oregon Health Authority announced 253 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday and no new deaths. The state’s coronavirus death toll remains at 2,375.

Where the new cases are by county: Baker (2), Benton (4), Clackamas (31), Columbia (7), Coos (7), Deschutes (10), Douglas (12), Grant (1), Jackson (17), Jefferson (3), Josephine (12), Klamath (14), Lane (19), Lincoln (1), Linn (5), Malheur (1), Marion (17), Multnomah (38), Polk (2), Tillamook (2), Union (3), Wasco (1), Washington (34), Yamhill (10).

Who died: The Oregon Health Authority reported no new deaths Sunday.

The prevalence of infections: On Sunday, the state reported 341 new positive tests out of 9,645 tests performed, equaling a 3.5% positivity rate.

Who’s in the hospital: The state reported 143 Oregonians with confirmed coronavirus infections were hospitalized Sunday, 25 more than Saturday. Of those, 32 coronavirus patients were in intensive care units, 10 more than Saturday.

Vaccines: Oregon reported 28,722 newly administered doses, which includes 16,680 on Saturday and the remainder from previous days.

Since it began: Oregon has reported 163,952 confirmed or presumed infections and 2,375 deaths, among the lowest per capita numbers in the nation. To date, the state has reported over 4.1 million lab reports from tests.
