Ashley Cain’s girlfriend says she is ‘blessed to have another day’ with baby Azaylia after she stopped breathing again.

Ashley, a former Tamworth football star who has played for a string of clubs across the Midlands, updated fans and followers on his social media channels on Friday.

The former reality TV contestant revealed little Azaylia had been battling hard, but had stopped breathing in a scary moment for Ashley and partner Saffiya.

He also revealed Azaylia had taken a turn for the worse as nurses rushed to her aid during a home visit.

Ashley's partner has today said: "Azaylia had another turn. But she's now rested and asleep and literally it makes your heart race with anxiety.

"But she gets through another day, blessed, my princess. And I feel so blessed."

She captioned the vid: "I am lucky to spend another day with you Azaylia.

"Every day is precious with you."

She accompanied the video with a praying emoji and a love heart.

Azaylia's health battle has won the hearts of the nation, with the country coming together to unite for a Clap for Azaylia last week.

Among those taking part were Love Island influencer Molly-Mae Hague, as well as the Pretty Little Thing founder.

Azaylia is just eight months old, having been born back in August 2020.

She was tragically diagnosed with leukaemia within two months.

Ashley and Saffiya had hoped of getting help from medics in Singapore, but were dealt a blow when healthcare professionals could not help.

The tot has been nominated for a Pride of Britain Award.Stacey Solomon is among the many celebrities who have been touched by the story.

Footballer Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancey have been clapping in support of Azaylia too.
