Venlafaxine - what dosage does everyone take on Effexor XR? My depression is back somewhat and I'm already on 300 mg. I was fine for a while!
Answers would really reassure me right now. Thanks in advance!

I was on 225 mg for 20+ yrs. Now on 150 for anxiety.

Hi, Randomgirl!
225mg is the maximum recommended daily dose except for severely depressed patients so a dose adjustment is likely not possible. How long have you been taking it? Antidepressants can "poop out" after long term use.
Talk to your doctor about a possible add-on medication like Abilify or Rexulti or a switch to a different medication.

PS, I took the 225mg/day dose for over seven years with Abilify added after a couple of years.
