Highly Specialised Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist

An exciting opportunity to join the paediatric respiratory physiotherapy team.
Providing specialist assessment and treatment of children with chronic respiratory disease. Working across in-patients, out-patients including MDT clincs, as well as community.
The post holder will have supervision and education of junior paediatric respiratory physiotherapists as well.
The acute children’s therapy team is a dynamic team made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, speech and language therapists and play specialists.
The team site in the children’s division and provides clinical care across all acute in-patient areas from critical care, wards, day case and outpatients.
The physiotherapy team is made up of specialist physiotherapists, rotational physiotherapists and support workers.

The physiotherapist will work within the paediatric respiratory service and will be jointly responsible for the management of children with respiratory conditions across the inpatient, outpatient and community areas. They will provide an advisory and liaison service to patients, families/carers, physiotherapy colleagues and other healthcare professionals including GP and Consultants within the North East London and wider region.

Location
Based primarily at the Royal London Hospital, but with cross site working to Whipps Cross and Newham University Hospitals to support the networked children’s physiotherapy services.
