Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is a lifesaving technique. It aims to keep blood and oxygen flowing through the body when a person’s heartbeat and breathing have stopped. It can be performed by any trained person. It involves external chest compressions and rescue breathing.

CPR performed within the first 6 minutes of the heart stopping can keep someone alive until medical help arrives. This method is easy to perform, is proven to save lives, and is better than waiting until trained help arrives. Be a life saver! This class is for anyone new to CPR or who needs training to re-new their certification. The instructor, an EMT, has a keen sense of humor and is laid back making for a pressure-free experience.

Family & Friends CPR is an orientation to CPR and does not offer an American Heart Association course completion card. Friends & Family CPR is a non-certifying class. If you need a course completion card in CPR and AED, there is an additional $20 fee, paid to instructor at time of class.

Note: If you are a Healthcare provider or are in public safety, you will need Basic Life Support (BLS) certification which is beyond the scope of this training.
