Kayla Fernandez showed off her speed and her scoring touch, netting six goals as third-seeded Berwick whipped No. 6 Valley View, 7-0, in a girls District 2 Class 3A quarterfinal Tuesday night.
Rachel Whiteknight opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the contest and Fernandez took over from there, striking four times in the first half before wrapping up her night with a pair of goals in the first three minutes of the second half.
Sarina DeFinnis assisted on three of Fernandez’s goals for Berwick, which will travel to second-seeded Dallas for Thursday night’s 6:30 semifinal.

Elizabeth Viglone set up MacNeely’s second tally to help break the game open with just over a minute to play in the first half, then added her own goal early in the second half as Dallas outshot the Classics, 27-16.
Morgan Solano made eight saves to post the shutout.

In another quarterfinal, Williamsport defeated Hazleton Area, 2-1. Williamsport will play at top-seeded Delaware Valley on Thursday.
