Minnesota and Wisconsin health officials reported 93 more cases of COVID-19 on Saturday in the Northland.

For a week, the region has logged no new deaths from COVID-19.

New cases and seven-day averages in Northland counties:

  • Aitkin — 3; 1.7.
  • Carlton — 4; 6.4.
  • Cook — 0; 1.
  • Itasca —31; 25.3.
  • Koochiching — 7; 2.4.
  • Lake —1; 1.6.
  • St. Louis — 57; 47.
  • Ashland — 0; 1.
  • Bayfield — 0; 0.6.
  • Douglas — 4; 6.4.

Statewide, Minnesota logged 1,569 new cases and 399 in Wisconsin. Minnesota reported seven more deaths statewide, while Wisconsin reported no new deaths.

Another 1,122 Northeastern Minnesota residents have received their first dose of vaccine.

In Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland counties in Wisconsin, another 238 residents received their first doses. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services did not update its vaccine data in time for Saturday's COVID-19 update, so Sunday's numbers reflect two days of data.
