Job:Need bioinformatician at UCSF to study infectious disease & malaria genomic epidemiology & serology
The EPPIcenter at UCSF is looking for a team member. We are a wet/dry research center partnering across Africa to support scientists & policy makers in developing sustained science based decision making to address infectious disease & malaria. The candidate will apply computational procedures to next-generation sequence (NGS) data related to pathogen genomics. They will implement or modify existing algorithms to analyze genetic data in the context of spatial, transmission, or other epidemiologic contexts, including population genetics and longitudinal data. Presents visualizations of data or results from processed data.
We are super nice, super fast moving team, living in foggy San Francisco. Looking for someone who has passion, curiosity, and can stitch together a story when the have access to loads of data, and a herd of content experts. A love of acronyms is a perceived plus in our academic subculture.
