copy number variation and aneuploidy

0

Hi everyone,

I'm doing copy number analysis and I'm confused about what to do about aneuploidy.
I thought that I could take >2 copy number as gain, but now I don't know if this applies to samples with aneuploidy. For example, for a triploid sample, would >2 still be a gain or would this not be classified as a copy number change since it's a different type of abnormality.
It would be wonderful if someone could help.

Thank you!
