Larimer County added 236 new cases of COVID-19 to its cumulative tally on Sunday, two days before the one-year anniversary of the first confirmed case.

The Larimer County Department of Health is reporting 20,749 total cases since March 9, 2020. On Sunday, the tally grew by 236 cases after not being updated on Saturday.

The youngest was a 3-year-old Fort Collins girl, and the oldest a 72-year-old Berthoud man.

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 remained at 227 on Sunday with the last death reported on Feb. 28. Of the deaths, 124, or 55%, were residents at long-term care facilities with outbreaks of the virus.

Also as of Sunday, the two-week prevalence rate was at 284 cases per 100,000 residents, and the positivity rating was at 4.3%.

The latest numbers available show just under 100,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered within the county. Of those, 63,954 were first doses to 17.9% of the county’s population, and another 35,963 were second doses, which means 10.1% of the population is fully vaccinated.
